Parental Pressure On Kids

Parental Pressure On Kids

Many parents want to help their children do the best they can be, but some parents put pressure on their kids, not just in studies in fact,  in every field of life. placing your child under too much pressure could backfire. Being under such intense pressure can have serious consequences for your kids. Recently a very sad incident happened in a very well-known school in Lahore.

Two children fight with each other in school, after this miserable incident, when the school call the parents of the children and ask them in school, one of the children who had beat the other child became depressed and went upstairs. He jumped from there, as a result, his leg was broken and his spinal cord was damaged.

So, kids, who have been under constant pressure can experience self-esteem problems, anxiety, and many more mental illnesses. Such high expectations and pressure may also cause the child to suffer blood pressure problems as well.

They also focus is on achievement rather than learning, kids are more likely to cheat.

Yet, many parents ignore positive behavior because they don't think kids should be praised for being good, instead they need the pressure to become great. No one likes constantly hearing all the things done wrong. Too much criticism won't motivate your child.

Another pressure that parents put on their children is drawing comparisons with another child. Comparing your child to other kids all the time puts him in constant competition with those around him and doesn’t take into account his individuality.

As a parent, don’t pressurize your children. Be humble with them, flourish them, and encourage them in every field of life.

Find a healthy balance that encourages your child to be his best, without trying to force him to meet unrealistic expectations.
