Missing issues of Women Day (Aurat March)

8^th March is International Women’s Day (Aurat march) in Pakistan and around the world. Women’s Day is an international celebration that was started celebrated in Germany on March 8, 1910. But today, it has lost its true essence. The form that is shown in Pakistan is wrong and the opposite of our culture and Islamic ideology. Islam is the religion that liberated Muslim women by ensuring equal rights to them in comparison to their male fellow.

Of course, Women's Day(Aurat March) is a day to celebrate all women for the achievements they have made in the past and present. This day is not only about women’s empowerment, equality, treatment with respect and honour.

But about my thinking, below are the true rights of women which they need or according to Islam should get demanded, on that day. I will try to discuss those true Issues which women need in our society.

Equality In Education.

Education is the true right of women. We have to raise this issue on Women’s Day (Aurat March). In Pakistan, Women need equality in education. Today more girls never go to school because of poverty, child labour, safety, and security issues, early marriages, and many more barriers they faced. Due to this a lot of girls do not want to continue their education. I guess, it is a wake-up call for us to take strict steps towards improving the education system and provide them equal rights of education and empower them to become equal contributors to the economic progress of our country. We need to improve our education system because the future of our nation depends on them.

Equal Working Opportunities

Well, women need equal working opportunities. Encourage women’s equality in the workplace, It also means not isolating or ignoring them and making access to resources equal for Women. But our society forgets this main issue now. We have to provide them equality, take necessary actions and establish or train our society so that our working places are safe for working women, and the women can work freely and feels secure as well. We have to raise this issue on international women’s Day.

Early Age Marriage issue

Another big issue of our society that Women/Girls face is early age marriage and other odd customs in the interior part of the country. A large number of girls married before age of 18. It’s a serious issue and a violation of Women ‘s rights in Pakistan. The main causes of this issue are lack of awareness and education, poverty, lack of security, customs or traditions, etc. These include the right to live free from violence and discrimination.

Widow and Divorced Women Rights

We have to raise our voice for the widow and divorced women’s rights in society. They have faced many problems in our society after divorce and when they are a widow. The first and main issue they have faced is a financial issue. They could earn to ensure the financial ability of their children. Nobody takes responsibility for social financial support. Hence, they can face remarriage pressure which is very sad but it’s true. Once women are a widow or are divorced everyone takes them for granted. These women suffer a lot of problems. They feel alone their selves and lot of self-esteem as women. In this Women’s march, we must raise our voice for these serious issues.

In Islam, Women are so powerful that the value of the highest reward of Life after death Jannah is on her feet it means if you obey your mother’s order you will get Jannah and obeying the orders of your mother are compulsory in ISLAM.

There are so many issues that I can’t discuss here all. I just want to say that we forget the actual purpose of this Women’s March and shout nonsense & useless slogans whose concept is not found in Islam. We have to raise our voices on these serious issues and have to stop nonsense and vulgarity. May GOD guide them all.
