How Teenagers Avoid Exams Anxiety in 2022 (Unique Ideas)

 

Exams Anxiety of Teenagers


Exam Anxiety is the feeling of panic and fear before or during exams. Most Teenager students experience this anxiety problem just before the exams. Teenagers feel their minds freeze during exams. The heartbeat becomes fast as well. Such unhelpful thinking about exams loses confidence. Fear of failure is the main cause of exam anxiety in teenagers, lack of confidence, poor test history, and high-performance expectations, these are also the major causes of exams anxiety in teenagers. It is better to solve this anxiety by improving your performance rather than failing to perform in the exams.



 There are two types of exams anxiety in teenagers

o   Low Anxiety

o   High Anxiety

During low anxiety, teenage students feel a little bit nervous but are still able to perform in exams.

Those teenagers who experience high anxiety feel a lot of fear and panic. They lose their calm and think that “they can’t do it “both anxieties lose confidence. It’s harmful both physically and mentally, especially for teenagers.

How can we remain cool in exams?

Some great tips to beat exams stress and how can parents help their teenagers in this situation are

A: Do Homework daily



1.       Always do your homework which is given by your teacher.
2.       keep practicing on some extra worksheets couple of days before exams.
3.       Prepare Timetable for study
4.       Do not wait for the last moment for the preparation of your exams.
5.       Sit aside and do the practice of question answers under a time limit.

B: Get a Good Night’s sleep

1.        Always get a good night’s sleep, The all-night study is not a good idea at all.
2.       Having rest 8 - 10 hours is better than reading all night till dawn.
3.       Get as much rest as possible before the exam.
4.       Meditation
5.       Breathing exercise daily
6.       Positive thinking
7.       Adjust your attitude
8.       Calm your emotion and thought, stay relaxed.

C: Take care of yourself



1.       Take healthy food
2.       Keep your mind focused
3.       Avoid caffeine etc
4.       Keep your body calm and don’t be panic

 D: Test yourself

1.       Start planning before exams
2.       Read all the questions carefully before writing on the answer sheet and put all answers in your mind.
3.       Take time when writing an answer
4.       Most important get rest as much as possible.

How can parents help their teenagers / Can Parents help their kids in this situation?



1.       Make a study schedule for them
2.       Encourage your children for study
3.       Give them break, taking breaks in between studies is very helpful
4.       Check their sleep pattern and diet
5.       Most important, teach them how to accept failure and move on
6.       Always motivate them and give them a cool and calm environment
7.       Give them your time and involve in their study
8.       If they are going for tuition, then give them home tuition as well. Try to teach your children at home.
9.       Check their notebooks daily and give them a test by yourself.
10.   Give them mental energy and strength
11.   Make a balanced diet for them because a balanced diet is very important. It is very necessary to beat exams stress

Continuously feeling anxiety before exams is not good for your health. So, take a chill bill kids. Be relaxed just focus your mind. May God help them all.
